History

The property will be restored to its original 1923 appearance with maximum use of original materials including brick and stone walls, wood floors, exposed original wood beams, columns and joists. The historic authenticity is certified by the U.S Department of Interior (Natural Park Service) and Georgia Department of Natural Resources (State Historic Preservation Office). Fulton Supply Lofts is designated as a contributing building in a Landmark District.

The building is situated atop Castleberry Hill overlooking the original railroad terminus that created The City of Atlanta (Then Marthasville) in 1837.

Location

Located in downtown Atlanta, a short distance from the old Georgia Dome and new Falcons stadium, Philips Arena, CNN Center, Centennial Olympic Park, SkyView Atlanta ferris wheel, Atlanta Streetcar, College Football Hall of Fame, World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, National Museum of Civil and Human Rights, Imagine It! Children’s Museum, Richard B. Russell Federal Building, Georgia World Congress Center, Martin Luther King Jr. Federal Building, Atlanta City Hall, Fulton County offices, Georgia State Capital, and the Atlanta Beltline. Higher educational institutions nearby include Georgia State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University , Morehouse College, and Atlanta Technical College.

Transportation

Fulton Supply Lofts is within walking distance to MARTA Stations that provide North-South (Garnett) access and East-West (CNN Center) lines. We are only ten miles from Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. The building offers on-site access controlled and covered parking. Residents can also take advantage of on-site electric car charging stations and electric car rental. We are blocks from I-20/I-75/I-85. MARTA bus service and Atlanta Streetcar are also nearby.

Ecology and Infrastructure

The property is certified for environmental design and green sustainability by Southface/Earthcraft, as well as the Georgia Power Company. Enhanced energy efficiency aspects include LED lighting, EnergyStar-rated appliances, ductless high efficiency HVAC systems, insulation of walls/floors/windows.

Arts and Entertainment

Fulton Supply Lofts is the heart of the Castleberry Hill neighborhood, which has become one of the “Hottest Art Districts in the U.S” according to USA Today and The New Yorker Magazine. There are 20 galleries in the district and a monthly Art Stroll.

Castleberry Hills has also become a major center of film and TV production due to its preserved and historic character. Over a dozen movies (beginning with the 1991 Oscar Winner for Best Picture – Driving Miss Daisy) have been filmed at Fulton Supply and more than 40 productions have been completed in the immediate neighborhood. Fulton Supply Lofts is a regular weekly stop on the Atlanta movie tours and features a movie gallery on the premises.

Our downtown location offers immediate proximity to over 50 top restaurants—ranging from soul food to barbeque to haute cuisine—many of them are featured several times a year during restaurant week.

Underground Atlanta, the Rialto Theater, and numerous other entertainment venues are also nearby.
